Kyle Murray just put a huge cloud of doubt over his future with the Arizona Cardinals after he decided to delete the team from his social media profiles. The 24-year-old has not spoken about his motivation behind this mysterious act and it has caused quite a ruckus for Carindals fans everywhere.
Murray's agent appears to have made the situation worse. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Murray's agent has declined to comment on the situation, which at this point, is extremely odd (h/t Mike Florio of PFT).
Usually, it's the agent's job to explain his client's unusual actions. We were all hoping this would be the case for Murray and the Cardinals here. Unfortunately, the 24-year-old's agent has done nothing to clear up the issue at hand. As a matter of fact, his silence could be an indication of an actual problem between Murray and Arizona. If it were otherwise then shouldn't he just have come out with a simple explanation to rationalize Murray's social media cleanse?
For what it's worth, Murray is currently still under contract with the Cardinals. He is now eligible for an extension, but Arizona could opt to pick up the fifth-year team option on his deal for 2023.
