The relationship between the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray is blurry.

After the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl, Murray deleted all of his Instagram posts in Cardinals gear, leaving his Heisman Trophy winner picture and a carousel of pictures from the Pro Bowl. The Cardinals followed suit by deleting all but two posts on the team's Instagram: a picture of Murray the day he was drafted, and a post from the Pro Bowl. The team has since unarchived their posts.

On Sunday, Bleacher Report reported that the quarterback has been described by insiders as “self-centered, immature and finger pointer.”

On Monday, the quarterback added a third post to his Instagram account, addressing the reports from the day before. The Cardinals shared his post and released their own statement to try to clear the air.

It appears like the team and the quarterback have rekindled their relationship, and Murray will be the starter for Arizona next season. However, he has a lot to learn about being a leader in the league.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport compared Cincinnati Bengals' quarterback Joe Burrow's leadership skills to that of Murray. Rapoport reports that Burrow empowers those around him to be better, which is something that the Cardinals need from Murray.

Murray, the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, has led his team to one playoff game in his career so far. Meanwhile, Burrow, the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has led his team to four playoff games, including one Super Bowl appearance.
