After selecting Kyler Murray with the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals have all but assured that Josh Rosen will not be with the team to start next season. While no trade talks have become serious, one possible team that might have an eye on the young quarterback is the Miami Dolphins.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport (via NFL.com), the Dolphins are one of many teams who have been talking to the Cardinals about potentially acquiring Rosen, and they are definitely one team to watch when it comes to acquiring the young quarterback.

Despite the Cardinals likely now looking to move Rosen, that doesn’t mean he’ll be a cheap acquisition. Speaking to NFL Network’s Mike Silver after the draft, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim was adamant that trading for Rosen wouldn’t be easy.

“I'm not giving up Josh for less than he's worth,” Keim said. “He's a really good player. He's been amazing throughout this process, and I have nothing but good things to say about him. Quarterback's the most important position in the game, and without one, you're screwed — so you'd better have more than one. Trust me, I know. Four years ago we went into a playoff game with our fourth stringer (Ryan Lindley) because our other quarterbacks got hurt, and it wasn't fun. So yeah, people might think it would be awkward to have them both, but I'm not worried about that at all. I have no reason to give Josh away.”

While the Dolphins seem like a prime landing spot for Rosen, it’s important to note that the team did pass on many other young quarterbacks in the 2019 NFL Draft and seem set to move into next season with Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Of course, things change fast in the NFL, so they might be welcoming in a new quarterback soon enough.
