The Baltimore Ravens will need to help soon-to-be second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson next season while the AFC North franchise made some strides this offseason. While trading away veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, the Ravens also added former New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram to the fold in Baltimore.
However, there are some low points on offense as well as Ravens wide receiver Chris Moore has struggled mightily to begin training camp.
“This camp was viewed as Moore’s opportunity to secure a front-line receiving role and he has plenty of more time to do just that,” writes Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. “However, Moore has been pretty quiet early, and he’s also dropped a few passes. His hands have abandoned him in key moments in the past, so the Ravens want to see more consistency.”
The 26-year-old wide out is currently gearing up for his fourth NFL season, all of which have come as a member of the Ravens. Last season, Moore appeared in all 16 regular season games for the Ravens en route to producing a mere 19 receptions for 196 yards and one touchdown. For his NFL career as a whole, he has tallied 44 receptions, 490 yards, and four touchdowns over the course of 44 regular season games as a member of the Ravens.
Unfortunately for Baltimore and company, both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns appear to be legitimate threats in the AFC North division ahead of the 2019 campaign. The Cincinnati Bengals should not serve as a major threat going forward, though.
