Baltimore Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley had to be carted off the field on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a nasty ankle injury. It was later revealed that the 26-year-old is now done for the season, and new details have now emerged about the injury
Ian Rapoport provides the brutal details of Stanley's unfortunate injury:

It didn't take long for the Ravens to rule Stanley out for the rest of the season, which points to the fact that he had suffered a serious injury. This is exactly why the details provided above do not really come as a huge surprise. Nonetheless, it's still hard to hear about how terrible Stanley's injury truly is.
Article Continues BelowThis is a huge blow for both the Ravens and Stanley himself. The All-Pro just recently signed a massive five-year extension with Baltimore, which came out to the tune of $98.75 million ($70.9 million guaranteed). The good news for Stanley here is that he had already secured his future before suffering this potentially career-defining injury, though it's also a positive to see that he should hopefully be ready by next season.
Baltimore fell to the Steelers on Sunday, 28-24. Pittsburgh is now 7-0 on the season after yet another thrilling affair. The Ravens, on the other hand, are now 5-2, and they will be tasked with the unenviable task of trying to replace Stanley moving forward.
Baltimore's next test comes in the form of the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9. The Colts are also 5-2 with a terrific defense, so it's going to be a tough game as the Ravens look to bounce back.
