During the 4th quarter, there were chants for the Baltimore Ravens to bring in Joe Flacco to try and lead a big comeback against the Los Angeles Chargers, but John Harbaugh decided to stick with Lamar Jackson and now Flacco's days in purple are probably over, especially if he wants another chance to be a starter.
Harbaugh reiterated after the game that Jackson is still the starter next season and hinted that Flacco's days with the Ravens are over. After the game, Flacco said he wasn't frustrated with the coaching decision to keep him on the sidelines and instead wanted to talk about his message to his fans.
“I love the people of Baltimore,” said Flacco via The Baltimore Sun. “It’s been 11 years, and you come in and you feel one way and you don’t know what to expect, but the people warm up to you, you warm up to the people, and to be honest with you, I can’t imagine a better 11 years with this place becoming my home, my children’s home and just how many different life changes I went through and how much we won here. I’m not from too far up the road, and the people here are a lot like the people I grew up with. Definitely a group of fans and a community that I love to be around.”
Although Flacco's play hasn't been as strong the last few years there are a lot of teams that need a quarterback and there seems to be a good chance he will be a starting quarterback again next year.
