Que the quarterback controversy for the Baltimore Ravens.

Head coach John Harbaugh was asked how Lamar Jackson would be used this year and he made it very clear that the Ravens first round pick would be involved.

“One way or another, he’s going to be out there, taking snaps,” Harbaugh told John Kryk of the Toronto Sun.

Harbaugh made it clear that the starting quarterback of this team is Joe Flacco for this year. Jackson has also been mentioned at maybe being a wide receiver leading up to the draft although Harbaugh has no plans on using him in that role.

“Lamar is also a weapon for us, who can play quarterback. And we’re going to play Lamar at quarterback,” Harbaugh said. “So we’re going to play all of our good players. I don’t see why we wouldn’t. You’ve got this first.”

If anything else, Jackson is going to be a good change of pace quarterback as long as it doesn't disrupt the play of Flacco. The one big concern with having a couple of quarterbacks is throwing one off their rhythm. Flacco has a nice drive, and the next drive starts with Jackson. Is that enough to throw Flacco off his rhythm and struggle the rest of the game?

That is something that the team is going to need to be figured out during training camp, and Harbaugh doesn't have an exact plan for Jackson's playing time.

“Situationally, whatever we can figure out. We’re still figuring that out. I don’t know how exactly,” Harbaugh said.
