New Denver Broncos punter Marquette King can't wait to get things kicked off in 2018 and has great reason.

He's geeked to be punting in Denver with the Broncos as playing a mile high in the Rocky Mountains is, what he refers to as, a “punter's paradise,” according to Gil Brandt of Sports Illustrated.

“Denver’s a punter’s paradise,” King said. “The ball definitely travels a lot further. I’ve always enjoyed punting out here in the altitude just because the ball travels further.”

Brandt described the young leg as “positively giddy” about where he now calls home.

King was employed by the Oakland Raiders over the last six years and first six years of his NFL career. He's yet to make a Pro Bowl, but it's a tough chore for any kicker, punter or long-snapper provided there's only one spot in each conference.

Over his first six seasons, King's averaged 46.8 yards per punt on 426 total tris. In 2013, he led the league with a 48.9 average and a year later, 109 total punts.

Now, he's with the Raiders' bitter rivals, the Denver Broncos and it's no secret why he's extremely pleased to be lured in by John Elway and company.

With the mile high air so thin as it is, King will have plenty of opportunities to showcase that strong leg of his.
