The Denver Broncos used to have a defense that struck fears in the hearts of their opponents. Von Miller and company were not a team anyone in the NFL wanted to see on the other side of the football, but now that may be starting to change.

Denver got off to a quick start in the Vance Joseph era with three wins in the first four games. Two of those wins were over divisional opponents and the other was against the Dallas Cowboys. Since then, the Broncos have lost two with perhaps their worst loss of the season coming at the hands of Philip Rivers' Los Angeles Chargers this past weekend.

Miller believes the team is at a tipping point heading into Week 8, via ESPN's Jeff Legwold.

“100 percent, 100 percent it is,” Miller said. “We're in a really tough spot … We're in a tough stretch, we've been there before, it's nothing new, we've just got to keep balling and get out of this funk we're in.”

The loss to the Chargers was historic with the team failing to score for the first time in more than two decades, via ESPN.

In Sunday's 21-0 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at the StubHub Center, the Broncos were shut out for the first time since 1992, and the most used word to describe it all was “embarrassing.”

The Broncos have gone from seemingly a legitimate contender in the AFC to perhaps on their way to missing the playoffs for a second straight year since winning the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning under center.

Along with their struggles, Trevor Siemian has been a questionable choice for Joseph. The new head coach is starting to field questions about whether he should be the starter, but it appears he's not ready to make a change as of yet.

In Week 8, the Broncos will have a tough challenge against the division rival Kansas City Chiefs. Alex Smith and company are also desperate for a win after two consecutive losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders.
