Free agent Tramaine Brock is close to securing his immediate NFL future.

According to Mike Garofolo of the NFL Network, Brock is close to inking a brand new deal with the Denver Broncos.

Brock, 29, is an undrafted free agent who's spent seven of his eight NFL seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. A year ago, he played a role in the nasty Minnesota Vikings defense as a subpackage cornerback.

With Aqib Talib off to the Los Angeles Rams, John Elway's squad can absolutely use the help in the secondary.

Brock's started 40 of the 91 total games he's registered in the NFL, picking off 11 touchdowns for 165 return yards and a score. He's also compiled 46 official pass breakups, one forced fumble and 162 tackles.

Other than the supremely talented Chris Harris, the Broncos top corner is young Bradley Roby who may be elevated to start on the other side. Brock could serve as the nickel or dime back should he win the competition this coming August.
