The Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles are both competing for a playoff spot and have a big-time showdown in Week 8.

The Bills are currently 1.5 point favorites and Vegas isn't always right, but they have gotten this one right.

Let's break down four reasons that the Bills will pick up their sixth win of the season on Sunday afternoon.

4. Home field advantage

The city of Buffalo doesn't have much to do as the weather gets colder, and Bills football is a way of life in Northern New York. Even the New England Patriots have issues when they go to Buffalo to play which should show how tough it is to play there.

The Eagles have lost three of their four games on the road this year including a really bad defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons.

Some places don't have great home-field advantages, but that isn't the case with the Bills which is a big reason they will come away with a win.

3. Eagles secondary

The Eagles have a lot of issues with their team with one of the biggest being the secondary. They have dealt with injuries but even the guys injured aren't going to be the savior. The Eagles have struggled to identify secondary talent in the draft and it's all showing this year.

The Eagles are giving up 270.6 yards per game which is 27th in the NFL. Josh Allen hasn't been the greatest passer this year but this game should be a big boost for his confidence. There is no reason Allen can't throw for 250 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

The Bills knows it's going to be tough sledding running the ball which means the success is going to have to come through the air.

2. Eagles chemistry issues

Last week, there was a player inside the Eagles offense that was bashing the way Carson Wentz was running the offense.

Against the Cowboys, Nelson Agholor seemed to give up on a pass that could have been caught and Wentz's comments after the game were critical of Agholor. Agholor clapped back at Wentz second-guessing where the pass was thrown.

It's clear there is a lot of chemistry issues with this team, and if they struggle early, don't be surprised if there are some fireworks on the sideline.

1. Defense

The biggest reason the Bills can come away with a victory is because of their defense. On the season they are giving up 15.2 points per game which is 3rd best in the NFL.

They have been really good against the rush and pass with the pass defense being a little better. Carson Wentz is a good quarterback, but he has proven at times this year, he can struggle.

In the last game against the Dallas Cowboys, he threw for only 191 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Throwing for 191 yards is not impressive, especially when you consider they were down most of the game and throwing in the second half happened a lot.

Going on the road to Buffalo is tough, and Wentz is going to have a lot of issues against a very good Bills defense.
