The restrictions placed by the league in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has not prevented the Buffalo Bills from getting their rookies signed. It seems quarterback Jake Fromm can now be added to the list.
According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Bills have signed Fromm and defensive end A.J. Epenesa to four-year deals.

The Bills opted to shore up some potential, quality depth under center by taking Fromm in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He is set to compete for the backup quarterback job with Matt Barkley behind Josh Allen.
Article Continues BelowBarkley boasts plenty of experience as a backup and has the advantage of already being well-acquainted with the system since his arrival in 2018. However, he has largely been underwhelming during his limited time action which may led to Buffalo going for a more youthful approach for the No. 2 spot.
The Bills appear to be all-in on Allen as their franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future. Regardless, his skill set as a dual threat under center does leave him more prone to injury when he is treated like a runner more often than not. Fortunately, they have made efforts to alleviate his need to take off by acquiring wide receiver Stefon Diggs to provide a major boost to the passing game.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see whether or not Buffalo opts to keep two or three quarterbacks on the roster heading into the 2020 NFL season.
