The Buffalo Bills have high hopes for a bounceback season in 2019. Unfortunately, it appears they will have to do it without offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle.

Waddle had been carted off the field at Sunday's practice. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he will likely miss the entire 2019 campaign with a torn quad:

Bills’ OT LaAdrian Waddle has a torn quad and it is likely a season-ending injury, per source. It is thought to be a 4-5 month injury.

The update on Waddle certainly deals a crushing blow to a Bills' offensive line that has already been dealing with its fair share of injuries. This group now appears to be much thinner moving into the 2019 NFL season.

Waddle had spent four seasons with the New England Patriots before signing a one-year deal with Buffalo this offseason. Unfortunately, it appears his stint with a team in the AFC East has come to an end for the time being.

The 28-year-old had largely been seen as a reserve offensive tackle. Waddle provided some much-needed depth to a position that is crucial in the development of quarterback Josh Allen. He now joins a laundry list of offensive lineman that will be dealing with injuries such as center Mitch Morse, guard Jon Feliciano, and guard Spencer Long.

All of the injuries to the offensive line could have severe implications on how the 53-man roster will ultimately shake out by the time the regular season rolls around.

For now, the Bills will need to take a cautious approach to ensure its key members stay as healthy as possible moving forward.
