Dwayne Haskins has been patiently waiting for his opportunity to start at quarterback for the Washington Redskins this season. Unfortunately, his season got off to a slow start under head coach Jay Gruden, who apparently didn't want the franchise to draft him in the first place.
Now, Haskins is set to make his first career start against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
According to a report from JP Finlay, Haskins has been named the starter for this week's game.

In the limited time that Haskins has played this season, the Redskins have seen him struggle mightily. He has completed 54.5 percent of his pass attempts for 140 yards, no touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Those numbers show much he has struggled this season.
Washington has seen Haskins improve in practice recently and they could not be more excited about his progression. Bill Callahan has decided that is time for the team to take a look at Haskins and see what they have.
At just 22 years old, Haskins has a big arm and the physical potential to be a star in the NFL. He will now have to prove that the mental side of his game is improving. Being able to make good quick decisions is a must for quarterbacks at this level and Haskins has struggled with that this season.
All of that being said, Haskins will get the start this week and will be a major talking point on Sunday afternoon.
