Wide receiver Torrey Smith is once again looking for a place to call home after being cut from the Carolina Panthers. However, he shared a sincere message for the players he spent a year of his professional life with.

Torrey Smith didn't have an incredible season for the Panthers stat-wise, but his experience helped his Carolina teammates. He was building chemistry with Cam Newton, but his knee injury got in the way of him getting any more than six starts and 11 total games.

Torrey Smith may not be the perfect fit for the Panthers, but he is still serviceable for teams that need reinforcement at wide receiver. He is a two-time Super Bowl winner — in 2013 with the Ravens and 2018 with the Eagles — who has posted decent receiving numbers.

His best year was in 2013, when the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII: He made 65 catches for 1,128 yards, covering 17.4 yards per reception. He was performing well until 2015 before his numbers sharply dropped.

This will not be the last time we see Smith: He still wants to play football, and there are teams that will definitely want him on their sideline as cover. Keep your eyes peeled for developments on where he ends up next.
