The Chicago Bears made a plethora of moves to add more firepower to their offense in the passing game that included former Atlanta Falcons speedy wide receiver Taylor Gabriel.
The 27-year-old has quickly made a strong impression on his new team with head coach Matt Nagy stating that Gabriel has met all the expectations that were laid before him when he joined the mix that begins with his track-type speed on the field, according to Patrick Finley of The Chicago Sun-Times.

“He’s working through some adjustments within the play on what he does against a certain coverage,” Nagy said. “But the biggest thing for him is he’s a speedy guy, and he knows how we’re going to use him and some of the things we want to do. And he’s done a great job.”
Through his first couple of years in the NFL, Gabriel has established himself as a huge playmaker in the passing game behind his big-play ability. Although his production dropped off this past season, he had burst onto the scene in the 2016 campaign where he 35 catches on 50 targets for 579 receiving yards and six touchdowns along with four carries for 51 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The Bears will likely look to utilize his blazing speed to help stretch the field while opening things up in the passing game across the board for second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. The hope is that Gabriel could be a vital part of the puzzle that could allow for Trubisky to move the ball down the field with his arm behind a revamped group of talent around him in Nagy's offensive system.
With Chicago already speaking highly of Gabriel, it could see him get back on track in 2018 to be one of the league's most dangerous big-play receiving threats.
