The Cincinnati Bengals are in a transitional period. The team finally moved on from long-time coach Marvin Lewis after 15 long seasons and hired the whizkid Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor to be their new head coach.

The team is likely looking at a lengthy rebuild ahead of them, and may need to tear it all down. It should be a busy offseason for the Bengals, and here are the three most pressing questions for them as they enter it.

3. Will they keep Andy Dalton?

The Bengals' front office has been careful not to commit too heavily to Dalton in their rare public statements this offseason. Dalton is still relatively cheap for a starting quarterback, but the team might determine that his ceiling is too low and that it's time to move on.

Dalton's play has fallen off the past few years and he's also dealt with some significant injuries during that stretch. He's 31 now and the team might decide now is the time to move on and draft a young quarterback. The team picks 11th in this April's draft and could be a potential suitor for Kyler Murray at that slot.

2. Will they trade A.J Green?

Green is heading into the final year of his contract and his name has started to pop up in trade rumors. The Bengals have an emerging young wide receiver in Tyler Boyd who could take Green's place, and if they're committing to the rebuild it might make sense to get back draft assets for Green. They aren't going to win much in the next year or two anyway and they might not want to commit a ton of money to a 30-year-old Green for a new deal.

1. Will Taylor command respect?

How Taylor fares is the most important thing in this new era of Bengals football. Cincinnati is trying to replicate the success the Rams had with Sean McVay, which won't be easy to do. Taylor is only 35 and has never been a head coach at any level before. McVay is a very unique individual and it will be crucial to see if Taylor can command the respect of his veteran players like McVay did right away.

Changing the culture in the locker room will be the most important thing for Taylor.
