The Cincinnati Bengals demolished the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Joe Burrow threw for 525 yards on the day, putting up an impressive performance against a division rival. Cincinnati kept their foot on the gas late in the contest, as Burrow continued throwing it downfield, regardless of having a big lead.
Typically that can rub an opponent the wrong way. However, it appears as though Joe Burrow and the Bengals don't care for some of the comments made by Ravens' defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. Earlier in the week, Martindale made the claim, “I don't think we're ready to buy a gold jacket for Joe (Burrow) yet,” per CBS Sports.
Burrow was asked about those comments in the postgame interview after lighting the Ravens defense up through the air. According to Ben Baby, the Bengals quarterback wasn't too pleased with Martindale's comments.
Bengals QB Joe Burrow said he was aware of Ravens def. coordinator Wink Martindale's comment about not having a gold jacket yet.
Burrow: "I didn't think it was a necessary comment."

The comment seems to have fired up Joe Burrow, as he responded with an insane stat line of 525 passing yards and four touchdowns. He was asked if he was “thinking about that at the end racking up 525 (yards).” The Bengals' quarterback claims “Maybe,” but a smile suggests something else, per Paul Dehner Jr.

"Maybe."
The accompanying smile suggests there was no maybe about it.

This huge win puts the Bengals in a great spot moving forward. The AFC North is a close race, but Cincinnati has a chance to pull away from their competition. It'll be interesting to see how the final two weeks of the regular season plays out, as this franchise is close to clinching their division and going to the playoffs.
