The Cincinnati Bengals went absolutely bonkers against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Joe Burrow was a man on a mission and Tee Higgins put up massive numbers as well. Even though they had a big lead late in the game, Cincinnati continued to throw the ball downfield. Zac Taylor explains his playcalling after his team's massive win.

According to Ben Baby, Zac Taylor didn't know that Joe Burrow was close to 500 passing yards on the day. Many believed the Bengals were doing everything necessary to help Burrow surpass the 500-yard mark. Instead, Taylor claims he wanted his team “to be aggressive against Baltimore.”

Typically when a team is up big late in a game they resort to the rushing attack to drain the clock. However, the Bengals seemed to do the exact opposite, running up the score on their divisional rival. Zac Taylor wanted to “develop a killer instinct,” for Cincinnati, per Ben Baby.

The Bengals have had trouble closing out some of their games, which explains their current record. Cincinnati is an incredibly young team with a bright future. Being able to close out games is necessary for success in the NFL.

Although that's true, the Bengals have Joe Mixon lined up in the backfield. He's one of the best running backs in the league and could have been utilized much more in this matchup. Considering Cincinnati was up big in the second half, that would have been a great time for Zac Taylor to utilize his star running back.

Regardless, the Bengals earn a massive victory over the Ravens and increase their chances of winning the AFC North.
