The Cleveland Browns took many by surprise when they decided to select former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield first overall. However, it appears his addition is already starting to resonate throughout the AFC North division.
Mayfield is expected to help turn the fortunes of the lowly Browns franchise around. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, former teammate and Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews feels he is the right man for the job:

The praise from Andrews should hardly come as a surprise. One of Mayfield's most endearing qualities is how beloved he is by his teammates. Whether he is showing off his flashy dance moves or throwing the game-winning touchdown, the former Heisman Trophy winner has great charisma. It also does not hurt that he and Andrews connected 62 times for 958 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
Although Cleveland made the selection based on the premise that he could be their franchise quarterback, it is not expected to happen any time soon. Among the bevy of splash moves the team made this offseason was the acquisition of former Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor. The addition of Taylor will take away the pressure from Mayfield to have to progress quickly with his development. However, the rookie has made it clear that he will be competing for the starting job anyway.
