The Cleveland Browns have not been shy about making some blockbuster moves this NFL offseason. However, the best has seemingly yet to come with the Browns owning the first and fourth overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Cleveland has the luxury of taking any of this year's top quarterback prospects of their choosing. According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, head coach Hue Jackson feels it is just a matter of picking the right one:

“I think the guy’s in there,” Jackson said. “I really do.”

Although there has been plenty of speculation surrounding who they will take with the top pick, the Browns have yet to tip their hand about confirming a decision.

“I think we’re very close,” Jackson said. “Yeah, I think we’re close. We just haven’t had the chance to be together. I gave the staff the week off. They’re vacationing. We’re here at the owners meetings and we’ll get together here soon and put our heads together and see what’s best.”

It goes without saying that the clear frontrunner in this year's quarterback class is USC's, Sam Darnold. Although he caught plenty of flak for not throwing at the Scouting Combine, he made up for it with a stellar Pro Day in the rain that left league executives convinced about his status as the future franchise quarterback of the Browns. However, Cleveland has been coy about the whole situation by working out the bevy of other gunslingers in the draft.

Whoever they choose to roll with, the Browns will be in no rush to start their young prospect immediately. Cleveland acquired a viable starter in former Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor to hold down the fort while their future pick continues to develop. Furthermore, the addition of wide receiver Jarvis Landry helps provide a steady safety net for whoever is under center moving forward.
