Jim Bob Cooter was underwhelming with the Lions, but unfortunately for the team, it never was able to find a playmaker since Calvin Johnson retired. The Browns, on the other hand, are full of potential playmakers including wide receiver Jarvis Landry and running back Nick Chubb. The most intriguing aspect of the job could be promising young quarterback Baker Mayfield, who undoubtedly has an extremely bright future in the NFL.
Article Continues BelowThe Browns have a great offense and Kitchens did a fantastic job with his team once he took over back in Week 9 of the regular season. Kitchens boosted the team's points scoring offense and unleashed both Mayfield and Chubb to their full potential. The passing yards increased as Mayfield became more comfortable and Chubb was given the feature back role once the Browns shipped Carlos Hyde to Jacksonville.
Jim Bob Cooter may be the right fit in Cleveland as he clearly struggled to gain momentum with Detroit. Quarterback Matthew Stafford is a solid quarterback, but the team's lack of a running game hurt the offense's versatility. The Browns will likely succeed with any offensive coordinator considering Kitchens will have a lot of involvement with the team. The right fit could prove to be an extremely beneficial addition.
