Josh Gordon‘s time in Cleveland has finally come to a close.

With his four-game suspension to start the 2016 season nearly up, Gordon entered a rehab facility this week. It's undoubtedly the right move for Gordon at this point in his life, but his Browns career will end as a result.

Here are head coach Hue Jackson‘s comments regarding Gordon's future with the franchise, from Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com:

“I think what's best for our football team is that we move forward and move on,” said Jackson. “He's not going to be with us and we wish him well, but we're moving forward. We're going to move on.”

Jackson declined to discuss Gordon any further:

Details of Gordon's release haven't been disclosed yet, but it will likely occur early next week when his suspension is up. His first game back would've came against the New England Patriots and Tom Brady, in his season debut. Brady also had a four-game suspension, stemming from his involvement in the Deflategate scandal.
