Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant's long-term future with the franchise has seemingly come into question this offseason. Much of that has centered on his lack of production not matching up with his pay, which is among the highest at the position.
This has led many to believe that his best days could possibly behind him despite being just 29-years old. According to Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram, Bryant is set to work out with noted route-running guru David Robinson in the near future to improve his ability on the field.

We are going to add a lot more tricks and press release techniques he can use to create separation. We are going to get Dez playing a lot faster at the line of scrimmage instead of messing round releasing wide, helping the defensive backs out.”
The decision to enlist the help of Robinson shows how serious Bryant is to prove that he can still perform at a high level despite having three consecutive seasons of less than 1,000 receiving yards that show otherwise. Robinson has worked with some notably wide receivers such as Pittsburgh Steelers' Antonio Brown, Denver Broncos' Emmanuel Sanders, and former teammate Brice Butler.
This is one area of Bryant's game that he has been criticized for not being refined in throughout his career. This is especially the case over the last few years with his physical ability wearing down due to the previous leg injuries. Bryant has shown in the past that he can bring elite production, it's just a matter of him finding a way to get back to that form.
Regardless of he is able to recapture that next season, he will likely have to take a pay cut to remain with the Cowboys from the $33 million that is due in the last two years of his five-year, $70 million deal. In the meantime, this work toward improving his skill set could lead to a bounce back 2018 campaign.
