Ezekiel Elliott is holding out from training camp in hopes to land a new extension with the Dallas Cowboys. Another one of their offensive weapons in Amari Cooper decided to show up to camp despite needing a new deal.

In an article by Nick Eatman of the Cowboys official site, Amari Cooper discussed why he decided not to hold out. Cooper is entering his first full season with the Cowboys in 2019.

Cooper is heading into the final year of his rookie contract and will become a free agent in 2020 if he isn't signed ahead of time. Besides Cooper, the Cowboys also are trying to scramble around and get deals done for Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
Among the three, Elliott was the only one who has decided to hold out from training camp. For Cooper, he wants to get better on the field and his contract will take care of itself.

Last season, Dallas traded a first-round pick to bring Cooper in from the Oakland Raiders. After Cooper arrived, the Cowboys passing offense and Prescott became vastly improved. In the 11 games that Cooper played in, the Cowboys went 8-3 in that span.
While Elliott is away from the team, Cooper wasn't interested in holding out like his fellow teammate. Instead, Cooper wants to come in and work with Prescott ahead of the 2019 season.
