The Dallas Cowboys have quite a problem on their hands, though it is a good problem to have nowadays. As it stands today, the Cowboys will attempt to sign quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott and wide receiver Amari Cooper to contract extensions.

While it will certainly be difficult to make all three happy in the end, the Cowboys will surely make signing Cooper to a contract extension a top priority considering the team gave up a coveted first-round pick upon acquiring him via trade from the Oakland Raiders midway through last season. Even so, Cooper doesn't appear to be in a rush to re-sign with the Cowboys as several other superstar wide receivers could sign their respective deals first to pave the way for the former Raiders standout.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports tweeted the following in regards to Cooper's ongoing situation with the Cowboys on Monday evening.

“On #Cowboys and Amari Cooper: He’s in no rush to get his extension done and a big reason why is the extensions of #Falcons Julio Jones, #Saints Michael Thomas and #Chiefs Tyreek Hill. All three should raise the market. I’m also told Cooper is absolutely reporting to camp on time.”

Despite the fact that the Raiders saw Cooper as an expendable piece of the team's roster, in the end, the former first-round NFL Draft pick did impress during his brief stint in Dallas to close out the 2018-19 campaign. With that in mind, Cooper made it clear that he is definitely worth keeping around for the foreseeable future.
