The Dallas Cowboys are bringing back a wide receiver they parted ways with this offseason. But it’s not Dez Bryant. Instead, it’s Brice Butler, who confirmed on Twitter that he is indeed returning to the Big D.
Wow, never thought this would go down, but God’s will always wins! Dallas y’all ready to make this thing happen!?!! I’m backkkkk!! #Duffingtonpost #XiX pic.twitter.com/wYoq5rtcvX

Butler, 28, spent three seasons with the Cowboys from 2015-17. He played in 36 games (five starts) and made 43 catches for 794 yards and six touchdowns. He set a new career-high with 317 yards in just 13 games for them last season.
Butler signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency in April, but he did not make the Cardinals' 53-man cut before the start of the season.

Although Dallas reportedly didn’t have much interest in the troubled wideout, they were still one of three other teams in contact with Cleveland about a possible deal along with the Patriots, who eventually secured Gordon’s services.
The Cowboys' receiving corps has been a major question mark since the departures of Bryant and tight end Jason Witten this offseason. They haven't gotten off to a particularly great start, either. The Cowboys currently have just 298 passing yards through two games, third-fewest in the league.
Butler wasn't a major weapon for Dak Prescott during his previous stint in Dallas and isn't expected to be in his return. But still, he'll provide another option on that Cowboys wide receiver depth chart that includes the likes of Cole Beasley, Tavon Austin, Allen Hurns, Deonte Thompson, Terrance Williams, and Michael Gallup.
