Dak Prescott is on a tear. The Dallas Cowboys has blown away all expectations in his fourth-year in the NFL, standing in as a legitimate MVP candidate heading in Week 12 of the NFL's 100th season.

Prescott has elevated the Cowboys to the top-seed of the NFC East, with a 6-4 record. How has he done so? Confidence in himself, play-calling and the team.

I'm locked in. I'm confident. I've said that,” said Prescott via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “Confident in these guys around me, confident in the plays that are being called. It's a collective reason and effort of where I am.”

Prescott is 247 of 365 passing for a league-leading 3,221 yards, 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions. However, don't tell those numbers to the confident quarterback. He could care less unless it means winning.

Numbers are numbers,” Prescott said, via Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I’ve never been a stat guy. I’ve never been somebody who cares about them at all. I care about one stat, and that’s wins. For me it’s about focusing on that. Sure, all of that stuff is cool. Don’t get me wrong. It’s cool. It’s cool to look up and see that many yards and see this and that, but I just want to help this team win and give us the best opportunity each and every week, week in and week out. And if it means throwing for that amount, I’ll do it.”

Numbers are numbers. Winning is winning. Prescott would rather have the latter.
