As if the Dallas Cowboys need anything else to go wrong right now, quarterback Dak Prescott is dealing with a sprained left wrist and injured right index finger and will have to wear tape on his throwing hand against the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday.
While that sounds somewhat concerning, Prescott, who has been wearing tape in practice, is downplaying the injuries:
“Just a couple of bruises,’’ Prescott said, according to David Moore of The Dallas Morning News. “I’ll probably wear the same tape in the game, but that’s that. Nothing serious.’’
Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore also thinks his signal-caller will be alright:
“No, he’s fine,’’ Moore said. “He’s used to having little things here and there. It’s part of the deal, especially this time of year.’’
Prescott added that the tape has not been impacting his throws in practice.

Dallas has lost three straight games to fall to 6-7 on the year, dropping into a first-place tie with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.
The Cowboys were considered darkhorse contenders in the NFC by some going into 2019 and played the part well early on, getting off to a 3-0 start, but Dallas has since lost seven of its last 10 contests.
Prescott's performance has also slipped in recent weeks, as he has thrown just three touchdowns and a couple of interceptions in the Cowboys' three-game skid, completing under 60 percent of his passes twice.
