The Dallas Cowboys have made some moves this NFL offseason to upgrade their roster on both sides of the football. Their latest move appears to be acquiring veteran pass-rusher Robert Quinn in a trade with the Miami Dolphins, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Quinn will help the trade go through by agreeing to a one-year deal with Dallas, according to Tom Pelissero.

Last season, Quinn played 16 games for the Dolphins after being traded by the Los Angeles Rams to Miami. He recorded 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and 38 tackles.

Although Quinn isn't the player he once was in his prime with the Rams with his best season highlighted by an All-Pro selection and 19.0 sacks, the veteran defensive end should provide a boost for the Cowboys both on the field and in the locker room.

The Cowboys are clearly in win-now mode as they have attempted to bolster their roster over the course of this NFL offseason. Adding Quinn into the mix is one of a few moves the team has made to potentially make a run at a championship during the 2019 campaign.

Along with being on the verge of adding Quinn in a trade with the Dolphins, the Cowboys also signed Randall Cobb and George Iloka in NFL free agency. It remains to be seen whether these offseason moves will be what is needed to get over the hump and compete with the best of the best in the NFC during the 2019 NFL season.
