The Dallas Cowboys made a shocking trade a week before their regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, trading away All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. It was something that Cowboys fans probably didn't want to see, but it felt inevitable after no progress had been made on a deal between the team and Parsons. For the city of Dallas, this isn't the first time this year they've had a player of this caliber get traded.

Earlier in the year, Luka Doncic was traded from the Dallas Mavericks in a surprise deal that sent him to the Los Angeles Lakers. Nobody could believe it at first, and general manager Nico Harrison was under a lot of heat for some time after making the deal. Things have since cooled down since they were able to get the No. 1 pick in the draft and select Cooper Flagg, but that's just a small bandage from giving away a top player in the NBA.

With Parsons and Doncic both being traded, Dallas fans are in shambles right now over what the city has done this year.

“Imagine watching ya NBA team trade Luka and then ya football team trades Micah a year later,” one user wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“Tough to be a Dallas fan last 7 months.. first Luka now Micah,” a second user wrote.

“At this point the city of Dallas just needs to repent of something diabolical they must have done wrong, because to lose Micah Parsons and Luka Doncic in the same calendar year has to be due to the wrath of God himself,” a third user wrote.
