Mike McCarthy and the Dallas Cowboys have been criticized heavily for their controversial play-call at the end of their shocking Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Dak Prescott ran a QB sneak and then tried to get the ball to his center in time with the clock quickly winding down, but the Cowboys failed to get another play off as the referee seemingly was out of place.

Of course, McCarthy has been asked time and time again about the decision to not throw the ball in that situation and he appears to have no regrets.

So apparently, the amount of time left on the clock checked out with the QB run here. But with how the game abruptly ended, it did feel like it was possibly the wrong move. However, when you look at it again, the Cowboys signal-caller clearly collided with the umpire. Even though McCarthy thinks his quarterback did the right thing by handing the ball to the center, it would've definitely made more sense to give it to the umpire because he must touch the football before the play can go on.

Nonetheless, it was a heartbreaking way to go out for the Cowboys, who had such a promising season.
