The Dallas Cowboys' playoff hopes are sinking after their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Despite the unfortunate result of the second half of the 2019 campaign, the Cowboys are looking at the positives, one being quarterback Dak Prescott.

Though Prescott didn't throw a touchdown in the loss — while dealing with a right shoulder injury — the Cowboys' brass remains bullish on the star quarterback.

Said Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones on 105.3 The Fan on Monday:

“We have all the confidence in the world in Dak. We’ve never blinked on that. think Dak has given us every opportunity to have success this year. I’m as bullish on Dak as I’ve ever been.”

Prescott went 25 of 44 passing for 265 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions in the loss at Philadelphia. Despite his performance on Sunday, he has enjoyed one of the best years of his four-year career in 2019.

On the season, Prescott has thrown for 4,599 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions on a 64.8% completion rate. His yardage and touchdown totals are the highest of his career, while his 97.4 is second-best.

The Cowboys are not looking at Prescott's last game in a vacuum. Jones noted that he believed he did “a lot of really good things” in the loss.

“I know he felt good about the game plan and I know he felt he could go out there and be successful,” Jones said. “If you take the drops that he had, that were not really like our receiving core, Dak still threw the ball well. I know he missed a few keys ones, but most quarterbacks are going to miss some passes. Everybody wants to isolate on Dak. I think he did a lot of really good things.”
