Smith has been an anchor on the Cowboys' offensive line that provided plenty of stability throughout his career. He has dealt with injuries over the last couple of years, but he has continued to persevere to provide a high level of play at his position. This has been a major part that Dallas has remained in the mix for the playoffs over the last several seasons because of the play of their offensive line.
The fact that he believes he can continue to improve speaks to his work ethic and mindset that has helped him become of the top offensive line in the league. He is in the prime of his career with many highly productive campaigns ahead of him if he's able to stay healthy over that span.
That said, the focus has shifted toward helping the Cowboys secure a playoffs spot and their third NFC East division title in the last five years. Dallas looks to be in the driver seat to earn that feat with earning just one win over the final two games of the regular season.
