By the end of the third quarter of the Dallas Cowboys against New York Giants Week 1 bout, quarterback Dak Prescott had four touchdown passes to his name. One to tight end Blake Jarwin, tight end Jason Witten, wide receiver Amari Cooper, and, finally, wide receiver Randall Cobb.
On his fourth touchdown pass of the game, Prescott dropped back out of the shotgun with a play-action implemented. He found Cobb out of the slot running a post route into the endzone for an easy 25-yard pass.

At the end of the third quarter, Cobb had caught four passes for 69 yards and a touchdown, his peers Cooper and Michael Gallup each had at least 100 yards.
The Cowboys signed Cobb to do just that — handle slot duties and get vertical to exploit mismatches. After his tenure with the Green Bay Packers ended, the Cowboys appeared to be a perfect fit with former slot receiver Cole Beasley going up to the Buffalo Bills. The former Packer signed a one-year, $5 million contract to become a member of America's Team.
Cobb is a focal point of an offense that Prescott likes to call the most talented he's ever seen, as he said via USA Today's Jori Epstein:
“I’d say this is probably the most talented offense I’ve been on. You can say that by just looking at the paper — then when you’re going out and making those throws starting off with me feeling the best I’ve ever felt is a big point. Making some of these throws, watching guys on the back end of it catch these balls and compete on deep balls or where it’s contested. It’s just great to see.”
After four touchdown passes to four different receivers, it's hard to argue that Prescott is wrong.
