The Dallas Cowboys are heading into their Week 3 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks needing a statement win. After falling to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, the Cowboys evened up their record with a big comeback win over the Atlanta Falcons. It was an improbably comeback, but the kind of game that can give a team the kind of momentum that can spur a big win streak.
Dak Prescott put on a show in Week 2 against the Falcons, completing 34 of his 47 pass attempts for 450 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions. He also picked up 18 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Those numbers put him back in the early-season conversation for the MVP award, although there is a lot of work for him to do.
In addition to Prescott, the Cowboys have a three-headed monster at wide receiver. CeeDee Lamb, the first-round rookie out of Oklahoma, led the team in receiving with six receptions for 106 yards. Amari Cooper caught six passes for 100 yards, but the surprise was tight end Dalton Schultz who caught nine passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, the Cowboys struggled once again against Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley. They gave up 273 yards and four touchdowns to Ryan, which doesn't bode well going up against Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Seattle is coming off of a big offensive game themselves and will attack the Dallas secondary as much as they can.
All of that being said, here are four bold predictions for the Cowboys in Week 3 as they prepare to take on the Seahawks.
4. CeeDee Lamb Has Another Monster Performance
Drafting a wide receiver in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft was not what many expected from the Cowboys. Most fans and media members thought they would address their secondary. However, taking Lamb was a no-brainer when he fell to the No. 17 overall pick.
Lamb is fresh off of a big-time performance in his second NFL game. He will put up another big game in Week 3.
With the Seahawks focusing on slowing down Cooper and Gallup, Lamb will be the lethal weapon for Prescott. He will catch seven passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns. This is a game that will continue solidifying Lamb as the best wide receiver in the 2020 draft class.
3. Dallas Cowboys Get Ezekiel Elliott Going Even More
With the dynamic passing game that the Cowboys have put together, it is forgotten how good Ezekiel Elliott is and always has been. Against the Falcons in Week 2, Elliott carried the football 22 times for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also caught six passes for 33 yards.
Dallas will focus on getting Elliott established early against the Seahawks. He will be key to wearing down the Seattle defense. Elliott will be more than ready for that task and will thrive in the offense this week.

When everything is said and done, Elliott will have gained 110 yards and scored a touchdown on the ground. He will also chip in five receptions for 30 yards.
2. Dallas Succeeds As A Bend But Don't Break Defense
Defensively, the Cowboys are going to give up some numbers. Russell Wilson is a legitimate MVP candidate this season and is an elite superstar. Seattle will put up points, but the Cowboys will call it a win with a bend but don't break defense.
They will give up chunks of yardage to the Seahawks, but will force key field goals. Stopping Wilson is not going to happen, but slowing him down in the red zone will.
Dallas has a lot of work to do on their defense in the next year or two. If Jerry Jones wants to win a Super Bowl, the unit has to improve. This week will be a quality performance from the defense even though they give up a lot of production to the Seahawks.
1. Dallas Cowboys Edge Out A Win In A Nail-biter
Finally, and most importantly, the Cowboys are going to get the job done and leave Week 3 with a win. It won't be easy, but Dak Prescott and the offense will make the necessary plays down the stretch.
We are predicting that the final score of this game will end up being 35-31 in favor of the Cowboys. This game will be must-watch football and will not disappoint viewers. Mike McCarthy and his football team will improve to 2-1 on the season and will prove that they are still a top-notch contender in the NFC.
Wilson and the Seahawks will drop to 2-1 on the season, but there will be nothing to be disappointed about. Losing to the Cowboys is nothing to feel shame over. They will be just fine and will end up being Super Bowl contenders themselves.
