The Dallas Cowboys have had a dismal season in 2020 and things got worse following Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Trevon Diggs suffered a broken foot on Sunday, which could possibly end his season.
Sources: #Cowboys impressive rookie CB Trevon Diggs suffered a fractured bone in his foot late on Sunday and is out 4-6 weeks. Based on the timing, it’s possible his 2020 season is over. Either way, Diggs will make a full recovery for 2021. A big loss to that defense.

The timetable for Diggs to return from his fractured foot is four-to-six weeks. However, given the way the season has gone for the Cowboys, they may decide to shut down the rookie cornerback for the rest of the year to avoid further injury.
Diggs was the No. 51 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Alabama. Coming out of college, he was a wide-receiver-turned-cornerback that didn't have much experience on the defensive side of the ball.
While he played the same position as his brother, Stefon Diggs, Trevon showed potential at cornerback in college. Therefore, with an obvious need at the position, Dallas comfortably took Diggs in the second round of the draft.
So far this season, Diggs has started in all nine games for the Cowboys, helping replace the void left behind by Byron Jones. In his first nine starts, Diggs has contributed 48 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and two interceptions.
On the other hand, he's allowed 37 receptions on 62 targets, per Pro Football Focus. His 62 targets are the most in the NFL as teams tend to target rookie and inexperienced cornerbacks more often than not.
At the least, Diggs is going to miss a month of action before he's able to return to the gridiron. But if the Cowboys aren't in the race in the NFC East, we could very well see Diggs sit the rest of the season and prepare himself for the 2021 campaign instead.
