Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas has been the subject of trade talks with the Dallas Cowboys for months now. And it seems there could still be another twist in the ongoing saga.
Thomas claims Cowboys coaches went up to him before Sunday’s matchup with Dallas and asked if he was ready to get traded.
“Yeah, of course, I heard chatter, people were coming up to me and saying a trade might happen,” Thomas said per Michael David Smith of PFT. “Even pregame, a couple Cowboys coaches came up to me, I don’t know if they were playing psychological games, but they were like, ‘You ready for the trade tomorrow?'”
Of course, there was a chance the Cowboys coaches were not serious with their trade comments, but Thomas wasn’t exactly sure whether they were or not.

Whether they were joking or not, the Cowboys could be subject to an investigation from the league. And if Thomas’ account is proven to be true, the Cowboys could find themselves in some trouble.
As to whether the Cowboys actually will get a trade done for Thomas remains to be seen. There has been talk that some people within the Dallas organization were hoping to reignite trade talks after Sunday’s game. If they do, Thomas should be glad to finally put the whole issue behind him and get to play for his beloved Cowboys.
