The Denver Broncos were ecstatic about their signing of quarterback Case Keenum this NFL offseason. It appears he has already started to confirm every hope they had for him in training camp.
The addition of Keenum brings some serious stability for the Broncos under center. According to Ryan O'Halloran of the Denver Post, he has confirmed that notion after not throwing a single interception in camp thus far.
Article Continues BelowBe excited about quarterback Case Keenum. Through five days, he has not thrown an interception in 11-on-11 play. Per our network, even New England’s Tom Brady can’t say that. Most impressive is Keenum hasn’t been saved by a dropped interception. He just knows where to go with the football.
The report should come as no surprise. Keenum has received plenty of praise for his decision-making ability throughout his career. This was especially evident last season after he threw for 3,547 yards, 22 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions.
Of course, training camp is rarely ever an indicator for success in the regular season. Regardless, it is encouraging to see that Keenum has made a seamless transition into the Broncos' offense. More importantly, it is clear that he is on the same page as his receivers.
The veteran knows a thing or two about making a comeback. The Broncos are hoping that his performance in camp will translate to the start of the 2018 NFL season. Their disastrous 2017 season can largely be attributed to the lackluster play under center. That said, Keenum's arrival has brought a newfound sense of optimism to Denver.
