The Denver Broncos have informed Domata Peko that they will not offer a contract extension to him, and he's set to become a free agent in a few weeks.

According to SB Nation, the team is looking for a younger nose tackle option. However, they haven't shut out the possibility of re-signing Peko just yet. According to the report, neither Domata Peko nor the Broncos brass sat down to talk about extending or re-signing his contract when it came close to expiring, so the decision was reached pretty quickly to not renew.
Article Continues BelowShould the search for a younger nose tackle option turn up empty, both the Broncos and Peko have discussed revisiting his contract options, but that won't happen until much later in the process.
“I would expect the Broncos to bring in a true nose tackle option via free agency and/or the draft this offseason. Some names to watch in free agency who fit the “true nose tackle” mold are former first-round picks Malcom Brown and Danny Shelton as well as re-signing Zach Kerr who the Broncos have expressed interest in re-signing per Klis. If they do not sign a starter during free agency, I would expect one to be drafted during the first two days of the 2019 NFL Draft. With Fangio giving input on his wants and needs on the Broncos roster, I would expect a serious investment at that position this offseason. Whether that be via free agency, the draft, or both.”
For what it's worth, Mike Klis feels that the possibility of Domata Peko re-joining the Broncos is “slight,” at best.
