The Denver Broncos have found their next head coach as they hired Vic Fangio on Wednesday after firing Vance Joseph right after the regular season finale. Broncos quarterback Case Keenum struggled in his first season with Denver, but prior to the 2018 season, he had an incredible season with the Minnesota Vikings. Fangio knows that Keenum has a lot of potentials and hopes to get that out of his new quarterback next season and beyond, per Andrew Siciliano of the NFL Network.

The Broncos offense struggled in the passing game this season and if it weren't for rookie running back Phillip Lindsay the offense may have been amongst the worst in the league. Keenum will need to take advantage of having Lindsay even more season as he could be Keenum's most reliable option while under pressure. Keenum also developed quite a connection with Emmanuel Sanders. Once the receiver hit the IR it was evident how much Keenum needed him back in the offense as he struggled often without his favorite target.

Although Fangio is known for having a fantastic defensive mindset, he has a talented offense that he'll have to get on the same page with as well. Keenum has a solid receiving corps with players like Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton as well as Phillip Lindsay emerging as a strong passing option as well. Keenum was fantastic with the Vikings and could potentially return to that strong form in Denver. It's very possible the schemes that were being used prior to Fangio were not beneficial for Keenum so it will be exciting to see how things play out for Denver in 2019.
