Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay is expected to miss the rest of the season due to the wrist injury that he suffered in the Week 16 loss to the Oakland Raiders.
Lindsay has provided the Broncos with quite a spark this season in rushing for 1,037 yards and nine touchdowns while racking up 35 receptions for 241 yards and one score.
But, due to ligament damage in his wrist, it sounds like Lindsay's rookie season is over.
While expectations were that Lindsay's injury might not be serious enough to keep him out for this week, that doesn't appear to be the case, according to ESPN's Jeff Legwold:

It means Lindsay's season is over; and unless there is a significant change in the injury status, the rookie is not expected to play in the Pro Bowl. Earlier this month, Lindsay became the first offensive player to be named to the Pro Bowl as an undrafted rookie.
Lindsay will likely continue to be a crucial part of Denver's offensive plans going forward, even if it that may happen under a new coaching staff.
With the Broncos struggling yet again, rumors are swirling that head coach Vance Joseph could lose his job, regardless of the outcome of this week's regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers.
But, no matter who is coaching next season, Lindsay's ability to add value both as a runner and a pass catcher will make him a mainstay in the Broncos' offense.
