An MRI yesterday revealed that C.J. Anderson did not tear his ACL, but Ian Rapoport still reported that he's out for the season. Anderson contends that Rapoport's words are false.

Here's Rapoport's initial report:

Broncos RB C.J. Anderson has told people close to him that he's done for the year, I am told. Awful.

The Broncos running back quickly responded, stating that Rapoport's tweet is “false” and that he won't know his status moving forward until more information comes out later today:

Anderson was initially diagnosed with a bone bruise, but fears about a torn ACL eventually arose. The MRI yesterday settled those worries, but the actual severity of the injury is still a mystery.

If their starting back is out for awhile, Denver has a solid backup plan in rookie Devontae Booker. Booker already started taking some of Anderson's snaps over the last few weeks.
