It has been a tumultuous 2017 NFL season for the New York Giants. New York had endured every obstacle imaginable throughout the year from key injuries to coaching changes.

Fortunately, the Giants will be in prime position to acquire an elite talent this summer. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Giants have clinched the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft:

The Giants had been plagued with injuries during their disastrous start to the year. Needless to say, it was not long before tensions in the locker started to brew which eventually led to the firing of former head coach Ben McAdoo. Unfortunately, the locker room issues continued through the rest of the year with the spat between safety Landon Collins and cornerback Eli Apple.

However, things had officially reached a tipping point when McAdoo decided to bench two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning. That said, New Yhasave a plethora of issues to address in the coming offseason starting with their franchise quarterback.

Although team's front office has expressed their desire to keep Manning, it will be interesting to see how New York approaches having the No. 2 pick in the draft. There will likely be a few notable signal-callers set to be available and it is safe to assume their Giants will do their due diligence.
