It has been nearly two months since New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. suffered a season-ending fractured left ankle.

Beckham Jr. has continued to progress through his recovery while recently getting past a big hurdle of already getting out of a walking boot, according to Kimberly Jones of NFL Network.

Although Beckham Jr. is already declared out for the rest of this season, it bodes well for him to be on track to participate without any limitations in offseason workouts and be physically ready for the 2018 campaign. This is the first significant injury of the 25-year-old's career.

Beckham Jr. has established himself as one of the game's premier talents at his position. Through his first three seasons, he was the first player in league history to post at least 90 catches, 1,200 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns in each of their first three years. He is the fastest to reach 300 career receptions and 4,000 career receiving yards.

Things could get quite interesting as Beckham Jr. is only under contract through the 2018 season and has continued to voice his desire for a long-term extension with New York. Any new deal will likely result in him becoming the highest paid player at his position at the very least.
