Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has been sidelined for the last three games due to a toe injury, and while he is improving, he is not yet 100 percent.
Adams said he feels “two million times” better since initially sustaining the injury during the Packers' Week 4 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but that he has a little while to go.
“I’m a little limited right now, but for the most part I can do a lot of different footwork stuff,” said Adams, according to Ryan Wood, Tom Silverstein and Jim Owczarski of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “It’s just the full-speed routes right now that are a little tougher for me. So I’m trying to fight through that, but I’m in a really good spot right now. Just got to keep letting it heal, because it’s not fully healed yet. Keep letting it heal and just be smart about it.”
The Packers have not skipped a beat in Adams' absence, as they have won three games in a row and are averaging 33 points per game in the process.
However, in spite of how well Green Bay has been playing, it obviously needs its No. 1 receiver back.
In four games this season, Adams has logged 25 catches for 378 yards. He is also coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played 15 games and hauled in 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns, making the Pro Bowl.
The 26-year-old also earned a trip to the Pro Bowl in 2017 after catching 74 passes for 885 yards and 10 scores.
The Packers are currently 6-1 and will take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
