According to Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst, the Green Bay Packers could have their eyes set on one wide receiver in particular ahead of the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft. Pauline recently told the Bleav Podcast Network that the Packers have interest in former UMass wide receiver Andy Isabella.

“The Packers also like him as a slot receiver,” Pauline said. “People tell me he can play in the flank, but the Packers would love him in the slot and to use him as a return specialist as well. So when you get into the third round area, look at the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers to kind of target Andy Isabella or have him on the list with the other players they really like.”

A player with some serious potential, Isabella's speed could aid the Packers wideout group over the middle of the field in the absence of longtime Green Bay slot receiver Randall Cobb, who is now with the Dallas Cowboys.

“Competitive, well-rounded receiver possessing both elite quickness and long speed to go with solid play strength,” reads his NFL.com NFL Draft profile. “Isabella has the feet and fakes to uncover in a hallway closet, and the former high school sprint champion proved to Georgia that his ability to win deep should not be underestimated. Isabella could become a menace on option routes with the ability to add vertical routes from the slot, but he must improve his pass-catching consistency and smoothness into his breaks in order to transition all that speed to the NFL.”

Green Bay missed out on the playoffs this past season with the Packers now attempting to rebound in a hurry.
