Gase is potentially a great young head coach, but it's clear things were not a match made in heaven for him in Miami considering all of the adversity he had to overcome in three seasons. Gase is a strong offensive minded coach, and that's exactly what Green Bay is known for with quarterback Aaron Rodgers under center.
Article Continues BelowGase will likely have to build a good rapport with Rodgers if he wants things to go as smoothly as possible down the road. Rodgers is the face of the franchise and reportedly disagreed with a lot of the play calling McCarthy was responsible for this season.
The Packers will likely not be without a head coach for long considering they are within arms reach from being one of the league's best teams. They are simply missing the right coaching fit at this point, and there are plenty of candidates out there for Green Bay to choose from.
The Packers already have one of the league's best offenses and showed some flashes of promise on the defensive side of the ball in 2017. Green Bay will likely decide on a head coach that can provide a balanced approach and help them get back to the postseason after a two-year hiatus.
