Green Bay Packers wide receiver J'Mon Moore did not have a great showing in the Packers' first preseason game last Thursday, catching just two passes for seven yards. One of those grabs was a touchdown, but head coach Matt LaFleur wasn't loving his performance, calling it “so-so.”

Moore must felt the same way, because on Sunday, he had a great outing in practice, and afterward, LaFleur lauded him for it:

“I thought today he came out with a whole different energy, and I thought his play reflected that. He made some nice plays in there today,” LaFleur said, via Green Bay's official team website. “The game went a little so-so for him against the Texans, but if he attacks practice like he did today, with that energy, with that attitude, he’s a talented guy. So, he got better today. That’s what the challenge is for him every day. Can you attack it with that mindset every day?”

LaFleur went on to add that he thought it was the best practice Moore has had all year.

Moore, who played his collegiate football at the University of Missouri, was originally selected by the Packers in the fourth round (133rd pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He played 12 games during his rookie season, logging just two catches for 15 yards.

With the Packers lacking proven receiving talent behind Davante Adams, Moore does have an opportunity to earn himself a spot in the rotation, but he'll certainly need to be a bit better for the remainder of the preseason to make that happen, and he knows it:

“They drafted me for a reason, and I have the talent behind that,” Moore said. “I just have to bring it out and be consistent, and I’m going to make it work, for a long time.”

Green Bay's next preseason game is on Thursday night when they take on the Baltimore Ravens.
