Green Bay Packers safety Josh Jones requested a trade to a team where he would have a bigger role and skipped all of the voluntary minicamps hoping the team would trade him away. There was some thought he would skip mandatory minicamp to as he was looking for the team to move him, but that doesn't appear to be the case as Jones is present on Tuesday.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, even though Jones is at practice, he doesn't appear to be practicing with the team. It's unclear exactly why Jones showed up, but one of the big reasons could be the fines. If Jones were to miss all three days of practice, he would be fined $88,650.
Article Continues BelowLast month Aaron Rodgers said that he really liked Jones but wasn't concerned about any trade request that he might want.
“It doesn’t concern me,” Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said during OTAs via 247 Sports. “The guys that want to be here are going to be here. We love Josh. He’s been a great addition to our locker room and made some great plays on the field for us, but he’s got to take care of himself right now. If that’s the way he wants to go, then I wish him well and enjoyed the time with him. Hopefully, he comes back in here and competes and we get to see him.”
It appears right now the Packers have no interest in trading Jones so this is a story that could drag itself out through training camp and the preseason.
